3rd and 4th - The next book report is due 12/5 on a science fiction book. We will continue reading The Castle in the Attic There will be occasional writing assignments that will need to be completed at home.Lesson 9 vocabulary went home today (writing was not assigned this week). 5th - Their next book report is due 12/5, on a science fiction book. Students will finish their final questions/activities on Wednesday. If not completed during the class time allowed, then it becomes homework due Monday, the 24th. Thursday we will begin Elephant Run by Roland Smith. We will begin with group presentations over vaious social studies topics. I will give them the research and they will read it and put together a short presentation for the rest of the class. Math
3rd - Students will continue to learn how to add and subrract using decimals.
4th - We will continue with dividing. This week students will learn to divide with zeros in the quotient.
5th - Students will have the assessment over decimals and two step equations beginning Wednesday. Homework will be a review on fractions.
6th - Our next chapter is simplifying variable expressions (solving 2 and 3 step equations). This chapter begins with simple problems and continues to build on this skill throughout the chapter.
